Synology NAS Recovery Settings

To recover data from a NAS, ReclaiMe NAS Recovery uses SSH connection via port 22 to communicate with a NAS device. Also, SFTP and User Home services along with some additional permissions should be enabled.

Enable SSH port

  1. Open the Control Panel and then click the Terminal & SNMP.

    2. In this section you need to enable the highlighted parameter and click the Apply button.

Enable SFTP service

  1. Open the File Services section, then click on the FTP page, enable the SFTP option and click Apply.

    2. Navigate to the User&Group on Advanced page and enable User Home service.

   3. Go to the User page, select your admin user and click the Edit button.

   4. Check the pages from the screenshots below and enable the highlighted options, if they are disabled.
